Season's Greetings from CEO, Julie Fawcett
First and foremost, I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, whether you’re already part of our community or considering joining us. This year has been truly special. Since joining the business in November 2023, it has been a pleasure to get to know our residents and watch this community flourish. It’s been particularly rewarding to welcome new residents, each bringing their own unique spirit and stories, and to see how our community continues to grow and evolve.
A key highlight this year has been the launch of the Friends of Auriens initiative, which has received an overwhelming response. It’s been wonderful to watch connections, both old and new, thrive through our carefully curated calendar of recitals, talks, fine dining, and more.
It’s been heartwarming to witness so many moments of our community coming together. From the recent private view where residents from our art class showcased their paintings, to the launch of the third series of our podcast with guests like Michael Palin. Our annual Pumpkin Carving Competition also brought out the spirit of fun and friendly competition, with General Manager William Harding taking home the carving victory. And, of course, our Macmillan Coffee Morning, where we united for a great cause, exemplifies the heart of Auriens.
Earlier this year, Auriens was honoured to be named “Best for Food or Dining Experience” at the 2024 Retirement Living Awards. This accolade recognises our commitment to providing exceptional quality and variety in our culinary offerings, as well as the outstanding service that enhances our residents' dining experiences. We were also thrilled to hear the results of our independent resident satisfaction survey, which showed high levels of satisfaction across the board. It’s feedback like this that inspires us to continue delivering the very best for our residents.
As we look ahead to 2025, there’s so much to be excited about but our focus remains on creating a community at Auriens Chelsea. Merry Christmas from the whole Auriens Group, including Draycott Nursing & Care. We wish you a Christmas filled with joy, and a New Year full of health, happiness, and togetherness.
Warm regards
