A cultural calendar at Auriens Chelsea
Residents and friends have had an entertaining month as our cultural calendar has kicked off with a number of events taking place in November.
First off was a beautitful recital by pianist Ana Bursac. A rising star in the world of classical music, she has performed at international venues across Serbia, Italy, Austria, Germany, France and the United Kingdom. Ana graduated from the prestigious Royal College of Music in London, where she was sponsored by Sir Simon and Lady Robertson and Steinway & Sons. She has already won a number of international prizes and awards, including the Help Musicians Postgraduate Performance Award and at the III Danubia Talents Liszt International Music Competition. The recital included some of her favourite works by Schubert, Schumann and Liszt.
The same week, renowned fashion designer Bruce Oldfield held an exclusive trunk show in one of our show apartments. Showcasing his new range of 'collectables', guests were invited to browse through his collection of gowns, shirts, leather goods and cashmere while enjoying afternoon tea, champagne and canapés.
Finally, CEO of Iconic Images and former editor of the Sunday Times Magazine, Robin Morgan gave a talk on his good friend - the legendary British photographer Terry O'Neill. A former habitué of Chelsea, Terry O'Neill is famous for his wonderful photographs of high-profile figures from The Rolling Stones and Peter Sellers to his former wife, Faye Dunaway and HM The Queen. Robin shared personal insights about Terry's life and work, which includes some of the many portraits hanging Auriens Chelsea.
